Using the term ‘geek chic’ implies that people other than geeks will think that’s being offered is cool and hip, and I don’t think that’s the case here.
But for actual geeks who were actually socially ostracized for their dorkiness, well, this might just be the best collection of fiction ever.
About Chris Eng:
A former long-term columnist for Vice Magazine, he has written for other publications such as This and Punk Planet.
He also served as Editor-in-Chief of Terminal City Weekly and DiSCORDER Magazine.
Other projects have included writing scripts for multiple anime series, curating the Terminal City Film Festival and making several zines (back when people did that sort of thing).
He currently works for Sophia Books and has just completed his first novel which he plans to serialize over the internet in the coming year.
