Grisélidis Réal was a prostitute (though she preferred the term ‘courtesan’) who saw what she did as compassionate social work and fought unceasingly for sexual freedom and the rights of sex-workers.

Slip this in the stocking of either your favourite activist or person whose world view simply needs a good shaking up.
