As a giddy and gleeful foodie, I own many, many cookbooks.
Inevitably though, the collections of recipes are less for practical use than they are for casual reading, internalizing, and more often than not, ‘reinterpreting’ at my leisure.
Needless to say, I flipped out for Michael Ruhlman’s “Ratio: The Simple Codes Behind the Craft of Everyday Cooking”.
My inner science geek, gastrophile, and Martha Stewart have joined hands and are skipping around in a circle at the thought of ‘recipes’ becoming a mere footnote in my culinary memoirs.
Great cover too!
